<h3>1. Download AIRSTEP APP</h3>

<p>② Turn on the power switch of AIRSTEP/Lite, then the connection indicator will blinking blue.</p>
<p>③ Pair your smart device with AIRSTEP via Bluetooth. If the connection indicator flashes, the pairing is successful.</p>
<p>④ Enter the AIRSTEP APP, click "Touch to Connect AIRSTEP" to connect with AIRSTEP/Lite.</p>
<p>⑤ If the interface at the bottom of the APP shows as the picture below, it means the connection is successful.</p>

<p>The numbers 1-5 shown in the APP above are five AIRSTEP local presets. There are five local preset storage positions in the AIRSTEP . You can switch the presets by clicking the icon 1-5 as the picture shown, or you can press the multi-function button to switch presets. At the same time, AIRSTEP has five factory default presets for you to get started. The contents are as follows:</p>

<h3>2. Getting Started With AIRSTEP APP</h3>
<p>The viewing, saving and editing of AIRSTEP's local presets need to connect to the AIRSTEP APP. At the same time, there are a lot of presets inside the AIRSTEP APP. You only need to find the preset you want to use and save it to any local preset storage position in AIRSTEP with one click. The following is a brief introduction of the AIRSTEP APP page:

<h3>3. AIRSTEP's Preset Selection And Saving</h3>
<ol>
<li>Click on the local preset storage position you want to replace. The picture shows the preset 1:</li>

<li>Swipe to view presets, click to select.</li>
<li>At this time the preset has been replaced but not yet saved to AIRSTEP, click "<img src="https://www.showdoc.com.cn/server/api/attachment/visitfile/sign/b47cb0fa9def330617f3987410b8e4ae" alt="" />"</li>
<li>Click "Done", "Success" appears, which means successful saving.</li>
</ol>
<p>After you save all the presets you want to use to the AIRSTEP local according to the above content, you can use AIRSTEP without the AIRSTEP APP. Short press the multi-function button to switch the preset, the footswitch indicator lights from A-E correspond to local preset 1-local preset 5, which indicator flashes once, it means which preset.</p>

<h3>4. Keyboard be hidden</h3>
<p>Since AIRSTEP has Bluetooth HID function, it will be recognized as an external keyboard by the smart device, so the on-screen keyboard may be hidden.</p>
<p><strong>Solution:</strong></p>
<p>iOS devices: Long press the multi-function button to bring up the on-screen keyboard.</p>
<p>Android devices: Enter the system settings-language and input-physical keyboard- enable the "Show on-screen screen keyboard"</p>
<h3>5. AIRSTEP Combo mode</h3>
<p>When AIRSTEP Lite is in the Combo mode, the AIRSTEP Lite connection indicator will be flashing green, when the Lite is in the Combo mode, it can't connect to any Bluetooth devices except AIRSTEP. </p>
<p>An AIRSTEP Lite can be used as AIRSTEP wireless extension footswitch. <strong>Press and hold the AIRSTEP Lite E footswitch (the rightmost footswitch) and hold it while turning on the power switch.</strong> </p>
<p>AIRSTEP Lite will pair with the AIRSTEP that has been turned on nearby. <strong>At this time, the AIRSTEP Lite connection indicator will change from flashing green to solid green</strong>, indicating a successful connection.</p>
<ul>
<li>If AIRSTEP and LiTE can't pair, please long press the AIRSTEP's FUNC button for a few seconds, then turn off/on your Lite.</li>
</ul>
<h3>6. Bluetooth</h3>
<p>If you want to pair other smart devices at this time, please connect them together directly! Starting from firmware V1.7, AIRSTEP can keep Bluetooth connection with up to 3 Bluetooth devices at the same time(For example, phone, tablet, computer, WIDI, etc.), with no needs to switch one to another. The connection indicator flashes once per cycle / flashes twice per cycle / always-on, which corresponds to 1 device/2 devices/3 devices connected to AIRSTEP at this time.Thanks to the characteristics of multiple connection feature, you can select and edit presets on your phone, while using AIRSTEP on your computer. Or use the smart device as the display screen of AIRSTEP.</p>
<h4>Bluetooth Host mode</h4>
<p>The Bluetooth Host mode is enabled by default, when you connect multi-devices and feel the Bluetooth connection is not stable, you can try to turn off the Bluetooth host mode.</p>
<p>Hold the B footstwich（2nd from the left） and turn on your AIRSTEP/LITE to disable/enable Bluetooth host mode.</p>
<p>Host mode on: "I" Indicator will flash Green once when turning on the AIRSTEP.</p>
<ul>
<li>If the Bluetooth host mode is off, you can't connect to your Spark, THR-II, Katana-air, and Waza-Air.</li>
</ul>
<h4>How to use AIRSTEP's Bluetooth function on iOS / Mac:</h4>
<ol>
<li>Bluetooth pair AIRSTEP with your device</li>
<li>Bluetooth MIDI function: Download "Bluetooth MIDI Connect" in the App Store, go to the device list, select AIRSTEP, and connect. </li>
<li>Bluetooth HID function: After pairing, directly open the APP that supports the external keyboard to achieve page-turning. Open the video website through the browser, then you can use AIRSTEP to control the video play/pause, forward, back, and other parameters.</li>
</ol>
<h4>The use of AIRSTEP's Bluetooth function on the Windows :</h4>
<ol>
<li>Bluetooth pair AIRSTEP with your device (if your PC does not have a Bluetooth module, please purchase a USB Bluetooth adapter that supports Bluetooth 4.0 or above). after successful pairing, if there is a “Swift Pair” option, please enable.</li>
<li>
<p>Bluetooth MIDI function (Bluetooth MIDI function only supports WIN10 or above)</p>
<p><em>A</em>. Google LoopMIDI or enter the link: <a href="http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/loopmidi.html">http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/loopmidi.html</a> to download.
<em>B</em>. After installation, enter the LoopMIDI app and click the + sign to add a loopMIDI Port
<em>C</em>. Go to the Microsoft App Store and search “ MIDIberry” and download it.
<em>D</em>. After installation, enter the MIDIberry application, Select AIRSTEP as INPUT (Bluetooth MIDI IN), select loopMIDI PORT as OUTPUT
<em>E</em>. Select loopMIDI PORT for the MIDI input in the APP you want to control. Please keep MIDIberry on during use.</p>
</li>
<li>Bluetooth HID function: Open the video website through the browser, you can use AIRSTEP to control the play/pause, forward, back and other parameters.</li>
</ol>
<h4>Connect to Android:</h4>
<ol>
<li>Bluetooth pair AIRSTEP with your device</li>
<li>Bluetooth MIDI: If you need to control Android THR Remote software, you only need to connect AIRSTEP in the Bluetooth interface of the software, and then select AIRSTEP in the Bluetooth MIDI option of the THR Remote software.</li>
<li>Bluetooth HID: After pairing, directly open the APP that supports the external keyboard to achieve page-turning. Open the video website through the browser, then you can use AIRSTEP to control the video play/pause, forward, back, and other parameters.</li>
</ol>
<h4>Pair With CME WIDI:</h4>
<p>Normally, when the System LED of AIRSTEP/Lite is blinking and WIDI is in host mode, the connection is automatically established. Please make sure the WIDI is not in “force peripheral” mode, and make sure that the WIDI firmware is at the latest version (if you are not sure about the WIDI firmware version, please download the WIDI APP and upgrade through the WIDI APP. For details, please refer to <a href="https://www.cme-pro.com/support/">https://www.cme-pro.com/support/</a>)</p>
<p>Important: This function requires AIRSTEP to be at firmware version 1.6 or above. Connect AIRSTEP to the AIRSTEP APP, click Settings to view the firmware version information.</p>

<h3>7. Quick editing guide about presets</h3>
<p>In addition to AIRSTEP's factory presets and APP's own presets, you can also edit the presets through the APP to achieve the way you want to use.
Note: Please rename the preset before editing to prevent data confusion.</p>
<h4>Editing of MIDI messages:</h4>
<p>Please refer to the MIDI chapter of your controlled device manual or guide, enter the MIDI type and protocol you need to use into the MIDI message, and then save it. Please confirm that all information is consistent with the guidelines in the equipment manual.</p>
<h4>Editing of HID Keyboard Messages:</h4>
<p>The HID message means the computer keyboard input. You can use AIRSTEP as a computer keyboard. Select the "Computer Keyboard" group of presets, click into any page of footswiches, and then click on Input, a keyboard will appear at this time. You can use either single shortcut or key combination. If you need to use the message on the small keyboard, click "Num Pad". Don’t forget to save after editing.</p>
<h4>Editing of Footswitch messages:</h4>
<p>Connect the controlled device to the FS port of AIRSTEP, and then select the External Footswitch preset. Then press the footsw one by one to observe the function changes and reactions of the controlled device. After finding the correct control parameter, note and assign it to the position l you want to use, so that it can be combined and assigned with other types of messages.</p>

<h3>8. Connect To Spark</h3>
<p>This function requires fimrware to 1.8 or above and latest AIRSTEP App, please update firmware and the airstep app to the latest.</p>
<p>① Turn on the power switch of the Spark 40 amp, and make sure that the hardware connection with the Spark app has been ejected or forgotten.</p>
<ul>
<li>How to Eject/Forget your Spark from the app(iOS):
Click the profile in the Spark app, enter "Hardware settings", then click "Eject".</li>
<li>How to Eject/Forget your Spark from the app(Android):
Click"<img src="https://www.showdoc.com.cn/server/api/attachment/visitfile/sign/9a63618af2566269485f3075896194e9" alt="" />" ,then Click “Forget this device” (Do not forget the Spark 40 Audio, click “Close”.)</li>
</ul>
<p>② AIRSTEP will automatically pair with the Spark amp nearby after the firmware 1. 8 updates, after the successful connection, the connection indicator will indicate green.(At the same time, the connection indicator also shows the number of connected smart devices, so the status of the indicator may be green/green with blue blinking/blue-green, depending on how many smart devices are connected to AIRSTEP)</p>
<p>③ Load the Spark presets you would like to use in the AIRSTEP app (The APP need to upgrade to V1.5(IOS), V1.2.3(Android)), and save, Footswitch LED will indicate the on/off status of Drive/Mod/Delay/Reverb via solid blue color/off.</p>
<p>Note: Due to the characteristics of Spark's communication protocol, there may be delays in channel switching. Similarly, due to the protocol of Spark, if AIRSTEP is connected to multiple smart devices when using Spark, the status of Toggle Effects may not be displayed correctly. So when controlling Spark, the fewer smart devices connected, the more stable connection.</p>
<p>About Spark App’s functions: When AIRSTEP connects with Spark, you can still use all the functions in Spark App except preset editing. Please make sure the Spark 40 Audio is connected to your smart device in Bluetooth settings.</p>
<p>If you want to edit the presets in Spark App, please power off the AIRSTEP, and reconnect the Spark amp in Spark app. After editing, repeat the first two steps in this chaptor to use AIRSTEP with Spark amp.</p>
